Patrice Bergues Not Villa Bound

Going to be interesting who will be in Gerard Houlliers coaching staff and who will be his number two.

The other name being linked was Patrice Bergues who was with Houllier at Liverpool and Lyon. However, Houllier has confirmed he won't be coming either.

'Patrice won't come for family reasons. We are very close but he phoned me to say he can't come for personal reasons. If things get sorted, he will come. He's got problems he must address.'

Houllier added, 'But there will be somebody else as assistant. Some of the people we are looking at are employed so you have to be careful what we say.'

is this the French spelling of Patrick Berger??? can't see him being up to the assistants job, he'd probably trip over the edge of the pitch and be in rehab for the season!!
