Very underwhlemed but would have been with any of the candidates. Now he's been confirmed, every fan must get behind him and cut out the whinging.

I agree that Houllier is potentially an excellent appointment, and although I think every fan needs to get behind RL, the board, GH, the players etc I think that we'd be unwise to have a massively long honeymoon period. Yes it'll take Houllier a while to bed down at the club, to know the players, the best team selection and formation, what changes may be needed in January, but I don't see anything wrong with criticism where it's needed. So while we should definitely get behind him we should call him out when we disagree, that's part of our job as the real owners of the club! The critics of MON didn't damage the club in my view, they just highlighted where they felt the club was going wrong, and in many instances they were right on the money. It's not unsupportive to criticize, it's essential! Role on the resurgence! PS. I was a huge MON fan by the way.
