Luke Happy For Window To Shut

Luke Young has no intention of going anywhere and he'll be happy when the window shuts so people will stop enquiring.

Quoted in the Birmingham Mail Luke was happy that he had remained at the Villa and said he had no intention of going anywhere, but was looking forward to the managerial shenanigans coming to an end.

'I will feel more settled when the window shuts. There are still people ringing me, left right and centre to see if I'm available. I want to play for Villa.'

Luke also had fond words for Kevin MacDonald should he decide to throw his hat in the ring, in saying:

'He knows football inside out, tactics and formations and he can see what is going right and what is going wrong. I've played under a few people who don't know half of what Kevin does. It's whether he wants to take the stress and what comes with being a first team manager.'

Whatever happens though, Luke knows we need to appoint a new manager soon simply so the speculation can end and 'whoever' it may be can start to stamp their authority on the squad before our next league game.

The stability of having a man in the hotseat is what we need now, whether it's Kevin MacDonald or 'another' simply so we can move on and get long term plans in place again.

As of typing this, a number of bookies have apparently closed betting on David Moyes, and whilst generally the bookies get wind of things prior to fans becoming aware it's certainly not guaranteed, we'll know within the next few days I suspect.

Then it's onward and upwards as ever!

Good to hear - I wonder what could have happened for him to have changed his mind? No need to answer, I'll guess.

Haha, this made me laugh. I bet Reo will be signing a new 5 year contract soon too!lol. I forgot these players were on our books!

That is the best news of the weekend by far, apart of course from the 1-0 victory on Sunday afternoon. One of the very best right backs in the premier league. His being ignored so often last season was little short of criminal. Hugs and kisses to Luke.

Actually I couldn't for one minute imagine Lerner entertaining any thoughts of still off-loading Luke. He's the only right full back we've got capable of doing a job for us.

Luke Young is a star player for the villa and feel he is very underated by others i for 1 think he is class and would be glad see him do an Agbonlahor and stays with us till the end of hi career

I think I could be Villa manager becasue I "know formations" too. You've got your 4-4-2, your 4-5-1 and who could forget the 4-3-3! CV is in the post... :P

This is great news... L. Young has always been the best right-back in England and I would be angry if he left us for 2.5 million to Liverpool
