'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gabby Is For Life - Not Just For Christmas

Ha, a positive comment from a player and the pledge to stay for an entire career. I'm liking this one!

23-year-old striker Gabby Agbonlahor - who lets face it is one of us, only better at football and considerably richer! - has told the BBC

'Being from the area, I've got no reason to ever leave. I'm just enjoying my football here.'

Ha, and even at his tender age, he has become our longest serving player! 'I think I am one of the senior statesmen! I might bring that up with some of the lads. But I'm a local lad and you look at people like Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard - they don't want to leave their clubs - and it's the same with me.'

That is it, no commentary needed, a true Villa fan and a true Villa player, liking it... liking it a lot.

Useless fact? An away fan came onto our forum and slated us Villa fans for the Gabby song. He thought we sang 'he's fast as Thor'... we put him right...! It should actually be he's fast and scores but lets face it, we aren't the best at 'clean' songs at Villa!

League record:

2009 - 10 played 36 (1) 13 goals
2008 - 09 played 36 (1) 12 goals
2007 - 08 played 37 (0) 11 goals

Nice to hear, Hope he gets firing for us and doesnt get knocked down the pecking order as we try to improve. He is certainly our no1 striker when fit, But we cant burn him out so we basically need a whole new strikeforce, Gabby, Delfouneso, and a new quality striker with weimann and maybe carew if there chipping in.

So good to hear amongst all that we've been through lately. Love the Gab. All I'd like to hear now is that Koeman will be our new manager on monday. and i'll be happy. UTV.
