Agbonlahor Ready For Rapid

Gabby Agbonlahor is back in contention for the home leg of the Europa qualifier against Rapid Vienna tomorrow.

Having faced a few weeks on the sidelines and had hardly any pre season preparation, Gabby came through 45 minutes in a behind closed doors friendly against Burton Albion earlier this week, found the net and has trained himself into Kevin MacDonald's plans.

Speaking on the Official Site ahead of tomorrow's clash, Gabby declared himself fully fit and raring to play his part in getting us through to the Group Stages.

'I am not used to this slow start to the season, normally I will get a good pre season under my belt but it's been frustrating this time with injuries, but now I'm ready to go.'

Whilst not wishing to pass too much comment on the performance at the weekend, Gabby is determined that he can help make sure that in the upcoming games against Rapid and Everton, that fans won't have to suffer such an embarrassment again, and he already knows the rest of the lads will be back to their best after the 'minor hiccup'.

'We will treat this competition as it should be treated and try and get as far as we can in this one and try and win it. I'll be looking to make an impression and try and do enough to get in the side for Sunday.

'The boys want to get it right and get a good result against Rapid and Everton. Everyone is behind Kev. On Thursday you'll see a good reaction from the boys.'
