'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Trio Return In Burton Friendly

James Collins, Gabby Agbonlahor and Carlos Cuellar all completed a successful 45 minute return to action as we beat Burton Albion 5-0 in a behind closed doors friendly today.

Speaking on the Official Site Kevin MacDonald confirmed that as long as there were no complications suffered over the next few days, all 3 players would be in contention for the home leg against Rapid on Thursday.

'Depending on how their bodies react, all three players should be fit and in the squad for Rapid. We will have to wait and see if there are reactions, but at this moment we are hopeful.'

Harry Forrester grabbed himself a brace in the game, and James Collins Jrd and Delfouneso also found the net.

The brightest bit of news following the Newcastle hammering, has to be that Gabby also got himself on the scoresheet during his spell on the pitch.

The Fear
Good to see that young Harry Forrester helped himself to a couple of goals in the game, that's almost as big a plus point as is the return to action of our injured trio. After the humiliation at St James Park, we needed something of a lift, and with the total lack of action on the incoming transfer front, successful comebacks for Gabby, JC, and Cuellar can only help to sweep away some of the gloom.

Good to see the squad getting back to full strength, should continue to increase competition and as long as KM keeps it to the form players in the team, not O'Neills favourite 11 it'll keep everyone on their toes. I agree Serbanz, would like to see Cuellar in the middle, he's never really had a chance there, for the love of god please don't play him at right back!!!
