'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Everton Family Fun Day - 100 Years At The Top

The club are laying on a pre match celebration on August 29 for the match against Everton as we celebrate 100 seasons in top flight football.

Everton celebrated the honour in 2002, and now Villa have joined them and we become the only two clubs in the country to boast a 100 season in the top flight.

The game also marks a staggering 191 league meetings between the two clubs which should have the stattos amongst us very excited - it's obviously the most played fixture in English football!

Pre kick off (4pm) there will be a special '100 Seasons' event in the Academy building behind the North Stand. It will feature a display of the trophies, a mini cinema showing the 1982 European Cup Final and also a Walk of Fame.

Former players will be in attendance for autographs and there will be plenty of photo opportunities.

For the kiddies (as obviously the above is for the adults to relive their youth!) there will be a quiz to test their knowledge of the club, but all the answers can be found be the eagle eyed on the Walk of Fame, and all kiddies who take part will receive a prize.

For the mums (as mums seem obsessed with face painting - not themselves, I mean the kids) face painters, and balloon modellers will be around to help make it a real memory for the next generation of Villans.

And then 3 points would top the day off nicely.

Tickets are as normal for the most part, but a special family ticket (2 adults, 2 kiddies) is available for £50, and don't forget to celebrate the launch of the new official site there are a thousand tickets on offer in specific areas of the ground for only £10 (web deal only).
