Harry Redknapp dismissed the link to Ashley Young saying Villa aren't interested in selling him. 'There's no truth in that one. He's a good player and if he's available then we'd be interested, I suppose - but most clubs would be - but at the moment I think he's not on the market. Aston Villa want to keep him so the fact is, until they want to sell him, there's nothing you can do.'

Ok, so after a great win yesterday, attention has turned fully onto our caretaker manager. The question is, do we need a 'name' to attract players or should we give Super Mac a go? Full article: Clamour For Kevin MacDonald As Manager?
revua says 'We need to be a selling club!' It really grates on me when Villa fans get miffed at our board as soon as there is a hint that one of our top players is going to be sold. I really think many Villa supporters need to change their mind set if we are going to get to the heights we all desire. I'm sure we all want the same thing if we are honest. To win the Premiership and then go and win the Champions league! Full article: Villa Fan: We NEED To Be A Selling Club
astvil123: Thank You James Milner No doubt about it he is making the right move for his financial future but no doubt about it, he is making the wrong move for his career. James Milner will be a bench player at Manchester City and will struggle to get game time but even though he is a fool for wanting money over playing football you can't help but admire him for what he did yesterday. Randy Lerner has hit out at press claims - lazy pundit claims as well - that Villa are a selling club. I've banged on about this for a while as I'm a big fan of this board but also hate the inaccuracy and lazy labeling of Villa. All clubs sell at the right price, but as Randy explains, that doesn't make us a selling club: Lerner said: 'We are not a selling club. A selling club is when you let it be known that you want to sell a player, through an agent or whatever. That didn`t happen with Gareth Barry and it didn`t happen with James Milner either. As for Ashley Young, he was never going.' Full article: Villa Are Not A Selling Club
Randy attacks Manchester City over their conduct over James Milner. Good to see our owner have his say: Lerner said last night: 'Big, bad Manchester City came along and asked for Milner and we said, 'No, he is not for sale'. And under the rules you have to respect that. And Manchester City respected that for two whole days. And then they violated the rules and came in for him again.' Villa legend Ian Taylor in The Express & Star has joined others like Andy Gray in condemning Martin O'Neill for walking out on Aston Villa and the fans. Ian said: 'As for O`Neill, the criticism he has received these last few days is entirely justified. It was interesting to hear General Charles Krulak, the club`s non-executive director, come out saying O`Neill thought he was bigger than the club.' Ian Taylor - Criticism Of MON 'Justified'
Andy Gray on MON's exit: The former Villa striker said on Sky Sports: 'I was surprised at first, then shocked after it and then, as an ex-Villa player who cares a lot about the club, disappointed that he took the decision. It was not so much that he took the decision he did but the timing of the decision is a really strange one. It's hugely disappointing in that it's a decision that's given no thought to the Aston Villa fans. Otherwise why would you leave five days before the season starts when you've been in charge of pre-season and all your set-up play has been done, then you walk out?' Full article: Click Here
