He's a good player and if he's available then we'd be interested, I suppose - but most clubs would be - but at the moment I think he's not on the market. Aston Villa want to keep him so the fact is, until they want to sell him, there's nothing you can do.'

Randy Lerner has hit out at press claims - lazy pundit claims as well - that Villa are a selling club. I've banged on about this for a while as I'm a big fan of this board but also hate the inaccuracy and lazy labeling of Villa. All clubs sell at the right price, but as Randy explains, that doesn't make us a selling club: Lerner said: 'We are not a selling club. A selling club is when you let it be known that you want to sell a player, through an agent or whatever. That didn`t happen with Gareth Barry and it didn`t happen with James Milner either. Villa legend Ian Taylor in The Express & Star has joined others like Andy Gray in condemning Martin O'Neill for walking out on Aston Villa and the fans. Ian said: 'As for O`Neill, the criticism he has received these last few days is entirely justified.
