Villa Fan Says Thanks To James Milner

Thank You James Milner

No doubt about it he is making the right move for his financial future but no doubt about it, he is making the wrong move for his career.

James Milner will be a bench player at Manchester City and will struggle to get game time but even though he is a fool for wanting money over playing football you can't help but admire him for what he did yesterday.

His move to Man City will be done in the next few days but still he had the commitment in him to pull on the claret and blue shirt one last time, walk out into a packed Villa Park knowing he would get some stick and he played to his absolute best for us! Fair play to him!

For the record I was one of few in the North Stand that cheered him from the start, hopefully more Villa fans did the same! We're getting a lot of money for him and although people are on his back saying he's a money grabber, aren't we the fans too?

I don't think I have read one comment all summer from a fan saying to keep Milner and forget the £30M deal. The reason being that it is good business sense; get a replacement in with Stephen Ireland and £18M. It's also good business sense for Milner because he will have financial security for life, but at what cost?

He is going, no doubt about it, but just wanted to say thank you to James for ignoring the boos and jeers and doing what you do best, pulling on a Villa shirt and helping our club to 3 points! You can't have anything but admiration for Milner for playing yesterday in front of the Villa Park crowd and playing how he did, absolutely great stuff!

After his standing ovation yesterday I think i speak for the majority of Aston Villa fans when I say thank you James and one day if the time is right, it would be nice to see you come back to us when Man City flop (which they will).

A good lad, a great character, an exceptional talent, (he may be money driven but who isn't in their own respected line of work?) good luck James and thanks for what you did here, the club will move on but thanks for helping us get our season off to the best possible start.

UTV!

What a performance yesterday. I love that Randy has come out and spoken about his disappointment at the whole saga. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed, and I would welcome it! On yesterdays performance, I would say keep your 30m. You cannot buy that level of commitment and grit and having that will win you football matches.

Come on James ... come to City .... you know it makes sense .......... better money, better team, better chance of medals and a better area to live.

wswilly; ouch! Milly played his heart out for us and showed that this business hasn't affected his love of football or of Villa. Rainy dull manc or bright future and proud history with Villa, easy. The only way you have turned his head is to chuck "stupid" money at him and Villa. Thanks James for your efforts and I hope you stay for regular footy rather than another manc c$ty toy.

Manchester ? A better place to live ? Ha ha ha ! At least you City fans have a sense of humour...and you're gonna need one when your team of superstars start spitting their dummys out because they're left out of the team...turmoil is on its way to Man City...mark my words !

The Bull Ring or Deangate? Villa Park or COMS? No comparison really - Englands second city always has been Manchester.

Come to Moss side in the wonderful city of Manchester, there's plentyb to do...drugs, hookers, criminals....not far from COMS....where you can see a team that have won nothing for years....
