Will Milner Be In The Starting Line-up?

Will Milner Be In The Starting Line-up?

Will Milner be in the starting line-up?

James Milner will be moving to Manchester City 'in the next 2 or 3 days' according to Roberto Mancini.

Kevin MacDonald however has realised that for tomorrow he still remains an Aston Villa player and has decided that if we still have the England midfielder in our squad then he can play his final game for the club against West Ham. Kevin Mac commented on Milner stating:

'James has been put in the squad and will be available to play for Aston Villa against West Ham.'

Does this mean he will start the game?

It could go either way, either he won't play to his full ability because he will be a Man City player soon so, why help out his future league rivals? Or he could earn back some respect from the Villa fans and play out of his skin, take some stick from the supporters and then be on his way.

I think if he does play then he will play okay, just not amazing.

But, will he play?

With him included in the squad then you would surely have to think so.

And will we boo the guy?

I think a large percentage of the crowd will, but hopefully to boos will come before the game starts.

Booing a Villa player every time he touches the ball would be a bad move on our part, we don't want to distract our own players regardless of who he is! But what does everyone make of the news that Milner looks increasingly likely to wear the claret and blue shirt one last time?

"Almost" only counts in hand grenades and horse shoes.... If he's still collecting a paycheck from us he should play with us.

Milner is of strong character, MON said himself before that even if he was 80% and was asked to play, then he would still play. At the end of the day if a club comes in and offers nearly double your wages, any one of you would bite their hand off.

Drop people for a guy who is leaving by the next game, great statement for the guys who are told its a fresh start & clean slate...apart from the guy who does not want to be at our club & will be leaving next game possibly, but if he does I'll give you a chance to play as you will be here all season fighting for the cause!!!(if he plays & scores the winner mind!!)lol
