Aston Villa Transfer News... Milner Deal Close?

Bit of gossip doing the rounds.

Whispers are saying the James Milner deal will be completed in the next day or so.

The same whispers are saying, despite us not having a manager at the moment, Stephen Ireland will be moving to Villa as part of the deal.

A site that I am sure makes everything up reckons Liverpool want both Stephen Warnock and Stiliyan Petrov. Far from convinced.

Alan Nixon at The Mirror has an exclusive saying that Stephen Ireland is putting a transfer to us on hold in the hopes of a late bid from Spurs.

Again the The Mirror , looks like there might be a goalkeeper merry-go-round? They claim we will move for Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia, Arsenal will go for Mark Schwarzer and Fulham for Brad Friedel. Must admit, I would love us to keep Brad and have him as our goalkeeping coach, he seems perfect and I believe MON's coaches have all departed, not sure if that includes the goalie coach but I would think it is just a matter of time if not.

Nice striker Loic Remy, who made his international debut for France v Norway this week is being watched by Everton, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Sunderland and Chelsea according to the Daily Mail.

Whispers also of Emile Heskey to Stoke still, seems to have been the main theme for the ex England striker this summer.

Not really totally sure how we go about doing transfer negotiations with no manager in place though?

Meanwhile Marlon Harewood has signed for Blackpool. Good luck The Hare!

Todays rumours are mostly made up in my opinion. Very little truth in most papers. Friedel denied that he was in talk with Fulham. Not a lot of managerial links though apart from Sven being desperate and Kevin MacDonald being our caretaker for a bit longer
