Nicky Shorey Off To West Bromwich Albion?

Nicky Shorey Off To West Bromwich Albion?

Nicky Shorey to West Bromwich Albion?

Certainly what the whispers have been saying all day and now the press appear to be saying similar.

Shorey was supposed to be being lined up by Nottingham Forest but again, the whispers suggested he wanted to stay in the Premiership if possible.

Looks like the 29-year-old left-back will get his wish and to stay in the Midlands.

Apparently a fee of around £2million is being talked about.

All taken from whispers but they seem to be growing.

Great move for the player, shame that he didn't make that much of an impact at Villa but Im sure that he'll do well in West Brom

If he goes good luck to him, never really saw what he did wrong, good going forward, pity it didn't work out, he should get a decent reception if he comes back with the Baggies.

I think "good going forward" is probably the point, SJH - he was good going forward, but left himself (and us!) exposed at the back too often. I think he saw himself as a Cashley Cole, but got caught out too often for MON's liking.

***** off Shorey. He's too slow, short, weak, puny for the prem and definitely not good enough for The Villa

Whoa - can't we say something about a player (currently a Villa player, mind) without being abusive? Wonder how you'd feel if somebody criticised you and your work like that?
