General Krulak Explains Late Kit Availability

General Krulak Explains Late Kit Availability

There has been some disappointment and angry comments about the new kits and their lack of availability.

The kit launch was a few weeks ago.. Kit Launch Images = Another £100 To Acorns and Villa Kit Launch Event - In Pictures!!! ... however, they won't be available until mid September.

To pre-order: www.astonvilladirect.com

A few complaints have been communicated to General Krulak in the forum thread (Click Here ) and GK answered:

'I am sure you all are well aware of the kit issue and what transpired but let me add a couple of points. This new partnership [with FXpro] came into being a bit late...and the negotiations, like all business negotiations of this type, took some time. The end result is that we provided the info to Nike late and they were obviously going to be a similar amount of time late in producing the kit.'

Adding, 'At the end of the day, we recognized that we would be late and that the impact would be on the Fans and on kit sales. We had to balance that against the value of the sponsorship/partnership itself over the long haul. I can promise you that if you had the same opportunity and the same value proposition, you would have made the same decision.'

'We are NOT happy with the length of time and we recognize the problem it brings to ALL of us but this is a good partnership over a period of years and we needed to make it happen. Again, I honestly believe that most of you would have absolutely made the same decision. We are not the only Club to be bringing out the kit later than usual.'

In the meantime, have you seen this beauty? www.astonvilladirect.com/stores Available now, it is superb, first bit of Villa kit I've bought in years (I usually steal them) ((Not really!)) ... oh and no, I'm not on commission!

Well if we can't sign players in time for the new season then having replica shirts for the fans on time becomes a minor issue. Someone should post a fixtures list to villa park.

It's a shame he needed to waste his time explaining the plainly obvious to those of the jerking knees, such is life.

but its an intresting way of looking at villas problems, you right at the end of the day it dont mean *****, but at the end of the day it says that villa 1)negotite too much at their loss 2 )lastminute.com 3)end up spending more then they should 4)expect the fans to be gracious, when we paying premium bucks for all the servies and merchandise.
