Well we picked up a few knocks and niggles ahead of and during last nights game against Benfica, so here they all are.
James Milner - O'Neill is quoted as saying it's only a back 'spasm' problem that players get from time to time. Before the Benfica match he revealed that they had tried acupuncture but it hadn't done the trick, and it's hoped the problem will disappear as quickly as it appeared with some rest.
It's also been said that the problem is irrelevant and should Man City stop sitting on their hands in effect, the issue would not complicate any transfer. Therefore, if nothing happens on that front we will likely see Milner against Valencia.
Carlos Cuellar felt a twang in his hamstring after only a few minutes in the match and was replaced by Curtis Davies in a precautionary move.
Quoted in the Express and Star O'Neill said 'He's hoping it might just be cramp and he didn't want to do much after that.'
There's no news of it being anything more serious today than a simple cramp or twang but as we all know with hamstrings it does put a slight question mark over Cuellar for Valencia. He'll have undergone more tests as the day went on to unsure it wasn't a muscle tear which would be the worse case scenario for him.
James Collins has been the unfortunate sick note during the pre season, with a few niggles and a calf problem that led him to play no part in the Guadiana Cup and very little in our overall pre season warm ups.
There's no real addition news on Collins, either good or bad, so he would still remain a doubt for Valencia you would think.
Curtis Davies, Cuellar's replacement last night and the only chap in the team it seemed who remained on the pitch after the game to collect our runners up trophy apparently left the ground on crutches. You would assume from picking up the trophy the crutches were again precautionary, maybe cramp related or something like that although the Birmingham Mail say it's a knee problem.
With no real news on how bad the injury could be, it's hard to tell if he will figure for the Valencia game which if you've been keeping count so far means Richard Dunne is currently the only experienced and fit centre half we have.
Step up Ciaren Clark possibly for 90 minutes?
In non defensive injury news...
Ashley Young injured his knee last night and his substitution at halftime was again so matters wouldn't get worse. With the way Benfica played and some of the challenges he took it's likely he had a knock and a bit of soreness. I doubt it's any worse than that and I hope I'm not proved wrong.
Stiliyan Petrov also suffered a concussion towards the end of the game.
Have I missed anybody? Brings a new meaning to claret and blue though, our squad's starting to resemble the walking dead.
