'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Todays Rumours In Brief

I am fully clothed you'll be glad to hear, but there's a few snippets around.

Most of the media are still counting Fulham as Luke Young's best shot for a transfer this season as Sparky Marky looks to make the squad his own after taking the hotseat.

The stumbling block, amidst many other rumours, with the move to Liverpool was that Young couldn't agree personal terms ie wouldn't take a pay cut, after the clubs had agreed a fee. Far more likely Fulham can offer him first team football which after a year of being consigned to the bench, at his age is going to be of far more important.

Sidwell to Fulham seems to have gone very quiet.

The old Nathan Delfouneso to Leeds on loan rumour has made another appearance, so expect lots of similar rumours to spark up again. Last season it would've made sense but with us being so thin on the ground, even allowing for the Keane signing to come off, it just seems unlikely.

And those are the joys of the rumours today, not a single one in, still everyone out.

I thought it best not to bore people with the Milner saga or the Ashley Young one from the top, and two from the bottom swop rumours.

The trouble with Gucci and Chanel is that they are often counterfeited ...

Of course we do villa_de, and I think many are now finally waking up to that very fact. As of right now, over in sunny Portugal, we have a pretty decent squad. Yes, a couple of new quality signings wouldn't go amiss, but we have under the guidance of MON, a strong squad, allied to some very promising young talent. We'll be fine, well we'll be more than fine. Come On You Lions. Good luck on Saturday/Sunday. No more talk please Mike of you posting your articles in your briefs. It really is an off-putting thought to those of us with a vivid imagination.

100% right steve, just plain common business sense but they don't need a departure first. The links have been so boring recently though, the press really should try better! The Fonz on a season long loan might make sense depending on whether we do get a striker or two in?
The Fear
Same squad for next season as last, no ins, no major outs...Ain't that bad, the squad will only improve playing as a team, and hopefully a few extra youngsters and can break through this year ain't as bad as people make out

initially you are right in respect to sell to buy, but looking at whats happening in relation to milner. if we dont sell him there will be very little change to the villa squad (wheter thats good or bad who knows until mid may 2011), but one thing for sure sell the proposed 6 but keep curtis. and buy 1 striker. and GLENSIDER you may be the most opiniated villa fan but that dont mean you the smartest. when people talk negativity on this site its their right as a villa fan. villa has great history but the last time we won the fa cup was 1957, and yes ok we won champions league but so have nottingham forest. you carry on living in cinderella land while we the so called postive/negative analysts will carry on with r objective views
