If Milner Went, Who'd Replace Him? - Poll Results

So with Milner likely to leave, who should he be replaced with?

Stephen Ireland was the winner with an incredible 68% of the votes.

Second up was Arsenal's former midfielder Mathieu Flamini with 16%.

In third was Spurs flop David Bentley with 6%.

Other (not sure which club he is currently at, but i think he is Brazilian) got 4%

And Scott Parker (the lad that Gold and Sullivan like to tell the press is not for sale but Villa are interested, EVERY single day) got 3% as did Aiden McGeady who was strongly linked but now seems likely to join Spartak Moscow.

News today is that Javier Mascherano is looking to leave Anfield, he might be good cover.....

surprised at only 3% for Mcgeady -- quite a lot of people seemed to think he was worth a punt ---- please no to parker though -- let wet spam keep their most prized asset......

Some of the other options aren't really replacements for milner though, just different players in different positions. I'd still go for Mcgready, but play him on the wing as opposed to centre.

If and when Milner goes, we need 2 extra CM players IMO as Petrov MUST be rotated .

at the end of the day selling milner is not good, even though u make a hefty profit. the truth is that young and milner in midfield r a dream set up. man city have no history but they have cash . they r inputting millions/billions and slowly they will build history and players from all around the world will be begging to go to man city. to break into the top 4 that is the way u do it spend spend spend (look at chelsea. now they can bargain a bit more for players etc and not pay over the odds) i really dont think we would be in this situation if martin oneill had bought darren bent last year. it really was just a striker short, but no point in crying over spilt milk. lets just hope we sneek into the top 4 this year but martin oneil has to do some serious restructuring in the next 4 weeks, and selling miner is a must as the funds r low elts all pray to mecca the vatican and the rabbis and maybe the dream will come true
