'If It's Football, It's Vital'

England U19's Must Believe

Nathan Delfouneso has called on his England colleagues to bounce back and prove they are serious following the defeat to Holland.

Speaking on the Official Site ahead of tonight's crunch clash against France Delboy has said the team must put the disappointment of the Dutch result behind them and make sure they don't make the same mistakes again.

'We've still got to be upbeat but we can't start the way we did - obviously against good teams like Holland they'll punish you, and they did.'

Delboy admits he has no idea on why England failed to turn up in effect for the first half (sounds familiar) and they were unlucky not to get a point from the match given their second half performance, but France have already hit 9 goals in their two games so far and if England hope to qualify from the group stage then only a win will do.

We could scrape through with a draw only if Holland lose against Weimann's Austria.

The match against France kicks off at 6pm.

The U-19s aren't good enough. From what I've seen Del Boy and Nouble are good but they receive no service from an awful midfield that can't keep possession.

Must admit that I've been far from impressed with what I've witnessed. I understand that they are youngsters and we shouldn't be overly negative, but I've seen nothing to get excited about. Very poor stuff from our lads.
