Richard Believes O'Neill Should Get The Deal Dunne

...for Robbie Keane and Stephen Ireland, although King Richard admits he'd like Monny to sign the whole Ireland team anyway.

Speaking to the Express and Star Dunne admits O'Neill will do his own thing and he has no firm idea if he has targeted Keane, Ireland or even if rumours are to be believed Aiden McGeady, but he'd be delighted to see them join if they are in Monny's plans.

'I would recommend the whole Irish team if he asked but he does his own thing. Whether the manager is interested or not is different, but me personally I'd take them.'

As usual I don't like it when players of other clubs talk about who they would like to join them and I can't be hypocritical when it's a Villa player that does it.

We all know they get these questions fired at them so I suppose you have to accept it as part of the game these days, just another element of many I dislike.

I do however have fond memories of the last little Eire enclave we had at the club so I'm all for repeating that trick!

"fond memories of the last little Eire enclave" ahhh, the good 'ol days, of Staunton, Houghton, Townsend and of course GOD himself Lord McGrath. (.....well actually, only Staunton was Irish but hey ho!)

AV-Damo, true about Staunton, though Houghton and Townsend were more of the "granny-rule", but McGrath, although born in England (his mother had to have him there cos she would have been ousted from the family back home) was pretty much raised in Ireland (albeit in Dublin orphanages), but I'm sure you've read the book!
