Delfouneso v Weimann - U19's

England U19's kick off their European Championships later today as they face Austria in France, and it looks set to be a good clash from a Villa perspective.

It's more than likely that both Nathan's, Delfouneso and Baker, will be lining up for England, whilst the little Weeman Andreas Weimann will be leading the Austrian frontline.

All 3 players are tipped for big things at B6, we already know about Delfouneso, most fans will know Baker enjoyed a good loan spell at Lincoln last season whilst I suspect few will know much about Weimann unless you follow the reserves (he was our leading scorer last year!).

Speaking on the Official Site Delfouneso said that there had been plenty of banter between all 3 of them ahead of joining up with the respective squads, and he knows that Baker and the England defence will have their hands full.

'It'll be interesting shaking hands with him before the game, we know all about Andreas, he is going to cause a threat but hopefully we will do one over on him.'

Delboy is hoping that Weimann has a great tournament, but simply put:

'Hopefully he can start scoring after we have played them.'

Dishing the dirt has worked both ways though, whereas Delboy and Baker would've been taking the England lads through Weimann's strengths and weaknesses, Weimann isn't shy in admitting he's been doing exactly the same about them.

'The gaffer from our team has already phoned me to ask about these two,' said Weimann.

'I would love to put one over on both of them, we'll probably be texting each other having a bit of banter but it will be weird playing against them.'

The match kicks off at 5.15pm I believe, and is being shown on ESPN. For many it will be their first chance to see Weimann in action, I'd be very surprised if they aren't impressed come the end of the game.
