So here we go, it was the official launch of the kits today and I must say Villa did a great job at staging a really enjoyable event. I was also told by the chief of marketing what a great job and great assistance the ICC were, always nice to know they support the club in such a way.
Ash looked a shadow of his former self, bloody tall though:
outside the ICC
Villa fans and an up and coming band played first:
Then came the kids from local schools:
making a day they'll never forget:
Villa fans for life this lot now...
Next up, some of the kids from Acorns pushed the plunger:
The massive sign draped from the ICC building:
(the man on the window ledge has gone, so we'll have to start the bidding again.... which only fans of Not the nine o'clock news will remember!)
And then onto the players, needing no introduction:
And the highlight of my day, to be in the presence of Voiceoftheholte... he was VIP... my pass was 'let him in otherwise he'll moan... or press, or something' !
And if you want more... the official site have some as well... not as professionally taken as on my compact camera obviously but they try!!!!!!!!
And to finish it all off, a picture of me getting my best features brilliantly even if I do say so myself:
Other Villa sites, if you want to replicate the images or use the properties to embed, feel free.
Personally think Villa did us proud in the City today... love being part of this club...! Even the weather stayed nice, it rained before, it rained after, but during... not a drop (well, there were a few drops but you get my drift!)
Manager Tim Sherwood has spoken of his disappointment - and shouldered the blame - for today's one nil loss to Stoke City.
All the stats from Aston Villa (0) vs (1) Stoke, Villa Park, 3/10/15 Att: 33,189
Statistics, damn lies and Aston Villa..
Bit of a mix and match today from manager Tim Sherwood's pre Stoke press conference.
