It isn't that often I do an individual press link article as I am not a big fan of the gossip sites that spend their time chasing hits with big headlines and little detail or substance to the story but I must admit, this one I really like and hey, why shouldn't us Villa fans have a bit of a dream every now and then!? Ok, it might be made up but my lord I like this one...!
Aidan Magee at The News Of The World says that Villa have been offered... wait for it... AC Milan striker Klass-Jan Huntelaar.
Cool, deal, we'll have him!
The report says that the 26-year-old Holland international (at the World Cup at the moment), who joined AC Milan last summer from Real Madrid, is looking for more regular first team action and isn't in new Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri's plans.

What was it some of us have been saying about bums on seats players? Surely if we could attract a star like this it would convince the floating fans that Villa ARE looking to take the next step?
Huntelaar in, Keane to play just behind, Gabby floating around menacing with his speed, maybe even Carew to come off the bench along with the up and coming Nathan Delfouneso (or if he has to have a year on loan to get a good, grounded, first team starting season under his belt, he'll still star for us one day) ... doesn't that all of a sudden change the pattern of the team? The defence is solid, their might be a question season after next over a new goalie but all in all, a sorted defence. Our midfield might take a little re-working if Milner is off but if we bring in Stephen Ireland as part of the deal, that is a direct replacement. We have two to wingers to whip in the ball.
Ah, dream a little dream! Villa IS a big club, Villa CAN attract this sort of player.
