Villa Linked With Celtic Star + Transfer Talk

Villa Linked With Celtic Star + Transfer Talk

The Mirror have a report saying that Martin O'Neill might raid former club Celtic for 24-year-old Aiden McGeady.

According to the paper MON see's the midfielder as a replacement for City bound (?) James Milner. Apparently Spartak Moscow are interested by McGeady, rated at £10million, would like a move to the Premier League.

The Mirror also repeat the link for a move to Fulham for Steve Sidwell for around £3million.

Wilfred Bouma is set to train with PSV Eindhoven in an attempt to prove he is fit to compete with them. PSV coach Fred Rutten said in NUsport (yes, yes, a regular read in the Fear household) said: 'He hasn't played much in the past two years, so we'll have to wait and see what he's still capable of. However, we have the intention to offer him a contract if he turns out to be fully match fit.'

Nowt else about really. Craig Bellamy linked to Villa a few times, is now being linked to Spurs (again).

Oh and Jimmy Bullard has been given a pay out by Hull so he can leave on a free. Nice work if you can get it! Baggies and Celtic are currently being linked to the free agent.

Oh and Everton are now being linked with Stephen Ireland who has been heavily linked to Villa.

I'd like to see us splash some cash this window, especially if we get 30 mil for Milner. Players like Gourcuff, Forlan,Bellamy, Huntelaar, Van der Vaart, Joe Cole, Dzeko, Altintop, Artetta would all excite me. Unfortunately though, all the money that would be spent on them will probably be used to raise Heskey's wages

MON be strict over milner don't go looking for replacement for godness sake or he will leave and feel as he is getting kicked out and since when would a milner move to man city be a dream for him of some sort, it won't be doing anything but taking a step down

@TheYank, I like your thinking, i'd be extremely happy with any of those players, despite the fact Gourcuff almost single-handedly did my fantasy world cup team right over, haha. But I blame France on a whole for that, he's a really good player. Forlan would be amazing, as would Van der Vaart or Huntelaar. I think Dzeko is probably staying at Wolfsburg though? So i've heard. and @Beovilla, I also heard that link. I've watched all Mexico's games but can't say I concentrated to much on Guardado alone to know how good he is.

Although I wouldn't endorse the signing of Bellamy, if we were to sign Keane, thereby bankrolling a Spurs bid for Bellamy, I'd... oh, what's the use.
