Obviously it is a bit quiet on the news front at the moment what with the shocking arrival of a summer and the joys of the World Cup, so on the WC theme and the news I read today on the BBC that Borussia Dortmund have banned the vuvuzelas next season, I wondered if you would ban or encourage the use of those horns at Villa Park? Vital Villa asked: Should Emile Heskey be dropped for England? Just to explain, this isn't picking on a Villa player to be negative, just his inclusion has always been a topic of debate and to be fair, unless it is Villa related, England matters are meant to be discussed on Vital England (for newsnow/googlenews as well as fairness to Vital England!) I digress... 60% voted 'Shouldn't even be at WC' Full results + comments: Should England Drop Heskey Poll Results

Fieldy: I thank you ladies and gentleman of Vital Villa, Milner to England's rescue. I said it, it happened...now for the lottery numbers. After joining the match 6 minutes in following the assumption there would be no claret and blue involvement, I barely finished writing the Milly Called Upon ramble where our very own James picked the ball up on the right wing, and curled in the most perfect of perfect crosses for Defoe to slam the ball into the net. 1-0 Milner. Fieldy: Some punishments just just do not deserve the crime. Stephen O'Halloran has joined Coventry City on a one year deal. After admirably battling back from a cruciate knee ligament injury, O'Halloran was almost the forgotten man at B6 over the past few years. Diligently working away in the background to regain his fitness and recover properly. Full details: O'Halloran Sent To Coventry

Blimey I'm bored. The only thing that gets me through the sad life of a close season is transfer gossip and because of the World Cup it has all but dried up! Only snippet we have today is a report in The Mirror claiming that Spurs will drop their asking price to around £8million for hit man Robbie Keane. I still say he is a shoe in for Villa. James Milner has been hailed a star of England's World Cup revival by three former internationals. The Villa ace was in inspired form as he helped the Three Lions seal qualification for the last 16 with a 1-0 win over Slovenia in Port Elizabeth. Full article: www.avfc.co.uk

Villa will compete in a revised three-group Barclays Premier Reserve League competition in 2010-11. The new format sees Kevin MacDonald's team - winners of the Reserve League South for the past three years - compete in the Southern Group along with Arsenal, Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United and Wolves. Dion Dublin insists Stephen Warnock will benefit hugely from his World Cup adventure - even if he doesn't feature in any of England's games. Full article: www.avfc.co.uk

Thought for the day: Just had a policeman at my door. He said 'it looks like your wife's been in an accident'. I replied, 'yeah, I know, but she's got a lovely personality'.
