O'Halloran Sent To Coventry

Some punishments just just do not deserve the crime. Stephen O'Halloran has joined Coventry City on a one year deal.

After admirably battling back from a cruciate knee ligament injury, O'Halloran was almost the forgotten man at B6 over the past few years. Diligently working away in the background to regain his fitness and recover properly.

For those of us who follow the second string and wondered whether or not he would ever be in a position to make his return, seeing his name last season for a couple of starts with the reserves was a nice moment...I'm sure a great one for the 22 year old.

Having made his recovery now it's unfortunate that he's missed his chance to stake a claim with us, but the year long deal at Cov gives him more than enough time to prove his fitness and his talent, and take his chance to get his career back on track.

Andy Boothroyd said of him:

'Stephen is a young attacking full back. He is quick and strong and a good defender with a lot of potential.'

Doesn't sound like he's there to make up the numbers, he just needs to take the chance.

No fee has changed hands, it was a free transfer and it's likely he'll be unveiled in the Sky Blue strip on Thursday.

Good luck Stephen!
