Aston Villa Transfer Talk (Or Tosh?)

Not sure I believe this one to be honest!

A report in The Mirror say that Birmingham City are now in the race to sign 29-year-old Spurs striker Robbie Keane and have 'stolen a march' on Villa who also want him.

If Villa want him, Villa will get him. I'm told he'd be more than open to the idea of the move.

The Sun have a snippet saying we are after 30-year-old French, £6million rated Fiorentina keeper Sebastien Frey. A foreign player? Ridiculous notion! :o)

So far we have:

Frey is a top keeper and has vast experience. Sidders for £4m would be a good bit of business too.
son_of_cher
With the wages Sidwell is on, the fact he's got just 12 months left on his contract, and the fact he is surplus to requirements (and with good reason), we will be lucky to get a penny for him. If a club is willing to take on his 50k a week wages then as far as I'm concerned they can have him for nothing. As for a goalkeeper, we could certainly do with one. Friedel was a very good keeper in the past, but he's shown signs of ageing ever since he arrived at Villa (and probably a little before too). But I would give Guzan a chance and put that money towards strengthening other areas of the team.

Steve-Sidwell-Aston-Villa cropped ... £3m and get his £50000-a-week salary off their wage bill as Sidwell will be a free agent next summer. ... google search lol
