Villa Start & End 2010/11 At Home - Fixtures

Well, the fixtures are out!

www.avfc.co.uk

Difficult to do a good article on this due to the draconian rules of dataco meaning we'd have to pay to publish the fixtures. YUP, pay to publish the list of games (adverts if you like) that we all pay our hard earnt money to go and watch.

Madness? You bet!

Anyway, the full fixture list is here: www.avfc.co.uk

We kick off with a home game (hurrah!) against West Ham. Boxing day is also a home game, that is against Spurs and the New Year will be seen in against Chelsea away.

That believe it or not breaks the rules for fixtures so I'll say no more other than our last game is also at home which is super! lol

COME ON YOU VILLA!

Given that we obviously have to play everyone twice anyway, the way these fixtures have fallen seems to give us an excellent chance to succeed next season. We have a relatively easy starting period and the top four (are Liverpool still top 4?)are fairly well spread until the last 2 games! So a good chance to make an early impression and stay there. Looks like the 'rune sticks' have fallen kindly for us. Now we need to make the most of it. next season will be interesting and should give us a good chance. Spurs will be affected by Europe, Liverpool have internal problems - what a chance we have.

We've got a hell of a run starting on Boxing Day.

Starting off with 2 unknowns in Baron Greenback and Hughton's lads. Could be a bad sign as with Wigan this year

That's the fixtures out and about for all to peruse and mull over, means the countdown to the new campaign is now well and truly underway. Wont be too long before the lads are back at Bodymoor Heath for the pre-season build up, then the friendlies will get underway, and before we know it, the big kick-off will be upon us. Once the big kick-off has been and gone, a new face or two might start to trickle into the club, and then there'll be no doubt in our minds. Business as usual, nine months of exciting but hard slog, with a trophy to set us off celebrating as if there's no tomorrow. Ah the beautiful game, I just love it. Bring on the 'Ammers, Tommy Hitz and all.
