Parker And Eduardo? Villa Transfer Talk

Not much about in the way of transfer talk today. Only snippet is in The Times.

They suggest that Villa will go after Scott Parker if we sell James Milner.

West Ham have said that all their players are available for transfer as they look to balance the wonky books... all but one player anyway.

Yup, you've guessed it, they said Parker wasn't available!

The Daily Mail yesterday had another brief Villa rumour saying that if Arsenal got Joe Cole, who is available on a free, that Villa might go for Eduardo.

So far we have:

Is Eduardo the same player he was before his injury? Was he actually even that good before the injury? And is he really the kind of player we're going to be interested in? Parker's a decent player (though not much more than that, and certainly not top four quality), but at his age, and with his injury record, it would be utter insanity to spend the kind of money on him needed to tempt to West Ham to part with him. So I guess we'll be seeing him in a Villa shirt, smiling in front of the Holte the day after the World Cup final. Or maybe on August 31st.

Boys, its Arsenal or Spurs all the way, no-one outside Champs League has a chance....if he had any bottle he'd go Italy and really prove himself but like most English players he'll stay and be a good old Cockney.

The Fear, me neither. He hasn't played an awful lot of football for Arsenal this season. And we won't see him at the World Cup as Croatia didn't qualify. Still, my guess is it's probably academic. As for Joe Cole, where would he play? He's too lightweight to play central midfield in a 4-4-2, and so he be taking either Downing or Young's place. I can't therefore see him being the kind of player who is a priority for us at the moment. But again, it's academic, because he won't be interested in us. And personally, I think this means we dodge a bullet. Ridiculous wage demands, an ageing player and a patchy injury record. Not for me thanks.

I would like to see MON go for a diffrent player like eduardo he normally has a set style of players he goes for, i think it would be a intressting move, but i dont understand why he consists ofgoing after players who cant even get into the first team at the club there at. Aswell as the fact you cant compare Milner to Parker, if there is anyone to get if milner goes it should be Bellamy from city.
