More Villa Transfer Talk + All The Links So Far

Bit more transfer 'news' following the earlier speculation: A Free Signing Anyone? AVFC Press Transfer Talk

The Daily Mail say that a report Belgian newspaper Het Laalste Nieuws suggests Villa will go for Anderlecht's £8million rated midfielder Mbark Boussoufa as a replacement for James Milner who many believe to be Manchester City or Chelsea bound.

The 25-year-old, much like Milner, is versatile and can play in any position across the midfield.

The Morroco international scored 16 goals last season.

Another story surrounds 30-year-old and now former Aston Villa striker. According to the Hare's agent, Portsmouth are interested in Marlon Harewood. Would be an ideal move for him to help Pompey attempt to return straight back to the Premiership?

Phil Sproson said Marlonw would be a 'fantastic deal' for a club as he is available for free adding 'He's proven, will get you 20 goals a season in the Championship and I am probably having an enquiry a week for him. It's a tad too early to decide where he will be next season. He wants to see what comes in. I do know he would be interested in Portsmouth and would welcome an enquiry.'

Oh, so hang on, Pompey haven't approached, that is just a team Harewood would like? Fair enough, if you don't put yourself in the shop window, no one will come for you I guess!

'If Portsmouth are really keen to sign him and want to sit down with him to go through their plans for the future and can back it up, then he would be interested. If they want him to be a big part of it, Marlon would definitely listen.'

Whatever, good look to Harewood, hope he gets sorted and back to first team football.

a decent video of Boussoufa for anyone that doesn't know much about him - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQmz7L_8JVw&feature=related

Would Boussoufa bid rule out an Ireland move? Would it be a preperation for Milner leaving or something MON would do anyway? Seems like the sort of player we need even if Milner was staying so not sure if this says anything about Milner.
RoyalVilla
To get £30m for Milner, and spend £10m on Boussoufa and get Petrov on a free would be great business. Particularly if the £20m change got Pavlyuchenko and Ireland!!
