'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Alan Wright Still A Superstar

stennyvilla on former Villa full-back Alan Wright:

The Cod Army's player of the Year has now been voted the top award for the whole of the Blue Square North.

Following Fleetwood's promotion to the National Conference he will be plying his trade against 13 ex league clubs next year.

With a bit of luck we might even see him back at Villa Park if Fleetwood get promoted again (after 4 promotions in 6 years) they will be into the Football League.

Anyone else recall that stunning volley he scored at White Hart Lane? What a gem that was. Little Alan Wright, certainly one of our most loved players of the modern era, and a damn good left full back too.
