Milner Donation For Vital Acorns450 Challenge

Just put through the 50 donation to our Acorns 450 Challenge as promised.

At the end of the season we did the player of the season votes and I said the winner would have a 50 donation to Acorns in his honour. So now, consider it done!

Full details:

Acorns

Vital Villa have decided to focus it's fund raising for the season (over 1000 raised last year) to all go to Acorns.

I've set up a page for my target of 1000. We are currently 87% on target (in one season, the target was over TWO seasons!) with nearly 900. This is all part of the Acorns 450 Challenge

The Vital Villa donations page is here, just the odd quid added would be more than appreciated: http://www.justgiving.com/vitalvilla

Don't forget for each shirt purchased here: http://www.vfootystores.co.uk/villa/ we'll donate a further 50p.

About Acorns www.acorns.org.uk :

Acorns Children`s Hospice offers nursing care and support for children who have life limiting or life threatening illnesses, and their families.

A network of care and support services is on offer at Acorns including: nursing care, end-of-life care and bereavement support; short breaks for the children; complementary therapies and support groups for the whole family.

Acorns has three children`s hospices: Acorns in Birmingham (located in Selly Oak), Acorns in the Black Country (located in Walsall) and Acorns for the Three Counties (located in Worcester). Each hospice is designed as a 'home-from-home` offering a fun, relaxed and comfortable environment, complete with individual bedrooms for the children, communal dining areas, beautiful gardens, hydro-therapy pools and multi-sensory rooms.

Short breaks for children give them and their families a break from the daily routine, and offer a safe environment for the children to stay and enjoy many activities not available at home.

End-of-life care and the 'special bedrooms` gives families a private area to say goodbye to their child.

Acorns also has a Community Team who offer support to the whole family 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week, including practical and emotional support for parents, special help for siblings and bereavement support for as long as it is needed.

Acorns helps children and families going through the unthinkable to make the most of every day and create happy memories. Acorns becomes a lifeline for local families who would face a much tougher challenge coping alone.

All of Acorns vital services are completely free of charge to the children and families who need them. Acorns relies on voluntary donations for the majority of its income. To support Acorns and help make a difference to life of a local child visit www.acorns.org.uk or call 0845 120 6892.

(Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they`ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they`ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it`s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.)
