'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Monday's Aston Villa Transfer Talk.

Little bit quieter on the transfer gossip front this morning.

The Mirror say we are after 22=year-old Ajax right-back Gregory van der Wiel with both Habib Beye and Luke Young linked outwards.

The Sun say we have 'joined the race' to sign Fulham striker Bobby Zamora with Blues and Sunderland. Hardly a new link this one is it?

Another report originating from the Portuguese press claims we are after Sporting Braga left-back Evaldo.

So far we have:

Van Der Wiel, yes please. Like him. Would prefer to keep Luke Young, but he'd be a tasty replacement if he does have to go!
YatesyVillain
If anyone doesnt no who Van Der Wiel is then you should look him up guys because he is very good, i think there is little chance him coming to us though as i no arsenal have been heavily linked with him since january but he would only cost around 6m i think so its worth a shot.

MON thinks Cuellar is a right back why would he buy another ? Does anyone seriously think he'll leave his pet Carlos out to play a proper right back ?
villan57
Villain57 i no what you mean, but its a fresh season lets think positive and hope he has learned from his mistakes as this is his last chance to get top 4 or he's out.

The likes of Arsenal are in for the Ajax lad. We have got to be realistic. MON rarely signs foreigners, rarely plays players in their correct position and even more rarely rotates so I don't know why anyone would choose Villa over another team. Sad but true
Villan444
curtis davies signed his goodbye for me when he said publicaly that he wasnt the man to step into big martin laursens shoes, not really what you want to hear as a manager
