Villa Keane On Spurs Striker + Transfer Talk

Villa Keane On Spurs Striker + Transfer Talk

Well, this is the link I keep saying will happen! According to News of the World Villa will soon open talks with Spurs striker Robbie Keane who spent half of last season on loan at Celtic

According to this report he'd now cost £18million though! So he has gone from £10m to £15m and is now worth £18m. What has he done in the last month to go up in value so much! lol

The report also repeats the widely held view that we did try to get him in January but - well, here we part, this report says he had given his word to Celtic, my source said that Spurs weren't keen on letting Keane go to Villa in January as we were all so close in the Premiership. Makes sense, with goals from Keane we could have quite possibly grabbed 4th spot.

Apparently Keano see's Villa as the club he'd like to go to and will meet MON this week.

The News Of The World say that Wolves are looking at Emile Heskey. Oh no, gutted! The report says if they come in for Heskey, MON might ask about the availability of Kevin Doyle who has been linked to us several times.

According to The Mirror Arsenal are at the front of the queue for Newcastle's £5million rated defender Steven Taylor with Villa, Chelsea and Everton also interested.

Shay Given is telling James Milner he should join Manchester City in the NofW I did an article on it yesterday saying we can't get too outraged though! Moral Indignation Warning - Given Taps Up Milner

The Mirror say that Villa are going to battle it out with Arsenal for Wigan's £10million rated striker Hugo Rodallega. They also say however we failed to beat Blues to Serbian striker Nicola Zigic which is TOTALLY AND 100% WRONG. We did not try to sign the player at any stage. Vital Wigan on the matter! Click Here

The Sunday Mirror claim that MON is considering cashing in on John Carew. I must admit, with one year left on his current deal, I'd be surprised to see him at Villa Park come the new season. Stranger things have happened but...!

£18m? What a bargain... To be honest as much as Spurs are renowned for forcing a good deal that figure is clearly stupid and cant be accurate from the NOTW. I would suggest it was a fee of between 8-10m and the bloke got confused ;-)

think carew should stay, hes frustrating to watch but he does score goals and we need that badly imo sell heskey get in c.cole and doyle/keane and there will be more goals in us next year for sure. not so sure on rodallega just cant se MON trying to buy him over any of the above but the lad does look lively for sure. if we could get matthews, dempsey, ireland, c.cole, keane/doyle and move a few of ours out i think that would be a decent shop

keane would be a good signing if the price is right, its a shame we didnt sign him years ago when we had the chance, he ended up signing for coventry city!

Keane = 18m? whoever said that fee was drunk if we spend anything over 10m for him then our club is a complete and utter discrace, and asif people still actually want carlton cole watch him play and tell me you actualy want him he is possibly the most overated striker in english football he is a younger version of heskey terrible! carew is better than both so why get rid of carew and get someone worse? sick of these disgusting embarrasing rumours
