Spurs/Villa Swap? Man City Buyout?! Villa Rumours

Now this transfer rumour makes sense. Spurs have been linked with Villa defender Curtis Davies who is frustrated at his lack of first team chances since regaining fitness following shoulder surgery. Villa have been linked with Robbie Keane (sorry voiceoftheholte!) and now someone has put 2+2 together and come up with a swap.

Well, that sounds perfect business for both clubs as Robbie has fallen down the pecking order at Spurs but would surely be a first team choice at Villa? Jermaine Jenas is also once again mentioned.

There you go, swap shop!

The Mirror meanwhile says that West Ham lead the chase for Villa Curtis Davies.

Other reports are suggesting Villa will 'miss out' on Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford. I say 'miss out' because does anyone know for a fact we want him?! Apparently Everton are close to signing the hitman who is available on a free.

The Daily Mail say that Marlon Harewood has the option to go to DC United (USA, as reported earlier in the week) or to Turkey with Bursaspor. So there you go folks, Marlon Harewood might well be playing in the Champions League next season! lol. Good on the fella!

A gossip site reckons Manchester City are set to bid £22million for Gabriel Agbonlahor. I think this particular site just plucks transfer rumours out of thin air to get hits to be honest. So now we have Milner going for £30m ish and Gabby £22million. Ashley Young has already been linked, so say £25million for him. Gareth Barry went for £12million there. Wouldn't it have been cheaper to just buy the Villa?! lol.

Another in the transfer rumour stakes is a report today saying that Villa tried to sign Zigic who has now signed for Blues: Click Here

Forgot who said but I think if we got Keane he would prove some wrong like Dunne did last season when everyone was saying he is passed it. Time will tell.
The Fear
I agree that Keane is past his best and I wouldn't like to see us spend cash on him, but a trade for Curtis would be a sensible deal, we need an alternative up front and a bit of guile more than we need a 5th centre back.
AVbornandbred
If Citeh want to take Gabby, Milner and young for a combined fee of about £80m I'd be amenable to that. Anyone who wouldn't is an idiot and that's why this is just horse poo!
