Martin O'Neill To Liverpool? NO Says Randy!

There has been a fair amount of talk about Villa boss Martin O'Neill partly fuelled by his comments towards the end of the season. That has now been smoothed out and articles last week had Randy Lerner telling the press that MON will be our boss next season.

There have also been links for MON to move to Anfield and take the Liverpool hot seat which press insist is soon to be vacated by Rafa Benitez the Tom Jones mini me.

Randy Lerner has now quashed that:

He told the press including this quote from the Daily Star:

'I don`t want a manager who nobody else wants. But, as far as I`m concerned, Liverpool are not taking Martin O`Neill away from Aston Villa.'

So there you go.

I think you are imagining things, villan57. Two seasons ago it was, '18m or Barry stays.' No 18m so Barry stayed. Last season there was never any comment. A bid of 12m was received and accepted.

Actually, Lerner did say that he was very hopeful that Barry would stay. This was just after the end of the season. Even so, I'm not getting my hopes up. Therefore, if O'Neill does go, and particularly to Liverpool, I'll be doing cartwheels. Bluenose? Moi? Nah mate. Redscouse!
