'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Villa Times - 07/05/2010

Unoial Villa News...

The final farewell to Buck Chinn. The funeral went 'well' yesterday, heartbreaking but also something that couldn't help but fill you with immense pride at the Chinn family and the legacy that Sir Buck left. The church was packed, the crem was so full that they had to leave the doors open, as it became standing room only and the wake after was a real celebration of a wonderful life lived well. So cruel that 'our Buck' has been taken so early but so wonderful to see what a fantastic family he and Sylvia have formed. I was stunned by the tributes that his son's Daryl and Carl, grandsons and other family members made and the song that his two granddaughters sang. I've always respected the clan of Chinn but yesterday put that respect onto another level. If only all families could be like that, the world would be a far far better place! Villa supporters are being urged to keep hold of their season cards after Sunday's final league game against Blackburn Rovers. Existing season card holders who have renewed, or intend to renew, for next season MUST retain the cards ahead of the 2010-11 campaign. Season cards will be reactivated during the summer, meaning that your existing card will be ready to use for the first home Barclays Premier League fixture at Villa Park in August. You will not receive a new Season Card next season but should receive a notice of reactivation in the post.

Thought for the day: Imagine my disappointment when I found out that a hung parliament wasn't what I'd expected and doesn't involve the user of nooses at all.
