Milner Take A Bow

Midfield dynamo James 'Milly' Milner is this Year's big man at the official end of season Awards Dinner.

Our effective shoe in for England's World Cup squad walked away with Supporters Player of the Year, Goal of the Season (his cracker against Sunderland) and the Terrace Trophy which was voted upon by the Lions Club.

Richard Dunne bagged Players Player of the Year and Nathan Delfouneso had more than one reason to celebrate when he bagged Players and Supporters Young Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Colin Gibson also walked away with the Villa Former Players Association Player of the Year. Quite fitting for the European Cup Winning right back to be honest.

There will no doubt be more reaction and the official site is promising photos tomorrow. Which will sound daft as I'm setting this for 7am, so for the eagle eyed wormcatchers amongst you read tomorrow as today.

Well done all involved, thoroughly deserved. Pretty much called right aswell with Milner and Dunne being the lead players in the awards.

Bet they are chuffed with Man City blowing 4th place tonight, with a bit of lady luck, and with a decent performance and win we can scalp 5th place from them which surely gives rise to celebration!

Interesting, I had my own end of season dinner awards last night (beans on toast if you must ask) and Milner won that as well. What a legend!

I've got to admit for all the annoying Spuds fans I was quite happy to see Man City miss out. How f'kin brilliant would it be if we beat them to 5th? COME ON THE VILLA!!!
