Absolutely brilliant, look forward to the next installment. Good to see you back writing, Benham. Keep up the good work.

Interesting read voth! Should it really matter anyways! Dennis Bergkamp was a Spurs fan, Harry Redknapp & Defoe were boyhood Gooners! Its all nonsense.

No - but he did argue against the maximum wage!!!??? And he had a nice beard.

Don't understand why he would want to go there if he wasn't a nose in the first place. Unless there was no-one else in for him??

whvilla, as Craig was born in 1986 and went to my local school I can only presume it was something his Dad sorted out whilst he was just a young kid. He then saw the light and started travelling to Villa games with a group of my pals from the Yardley area. The strange thing with Craig is he always used to get stuck in goal when he played footy over at Queens Park rec across from his house. He was too good for his pals but they didn't know it. But it isn't a****ing competition. I was just making the point that what we see reported in the press is not ususally what is true. Craig actually is a very decent lad who would have stayed at Villa for life if circumstances had been different. Some people deserve bad press and a bit of stick. Craig isn't one of them imho

LOL, VOTH, Craig went to school???????????

What's your take on the Gary Gardner situation voiceoftheholte? Do you think that he might be lured over to St Andrews when his current Villa deal is up? Be a great pity if that scenario does indeed happen, as from what I've seen of him to date, prior to the injury, he looks a very capable footballer, one with a very bright future. As for the article Mr Benham sir. Top read. Take a bow.

By all accounts, Craig Gardner is a decent lad and showed a real passion for the game on Sunday as if he was trying to prove a point. Unfortunately, local lads like Craig, Zat Knight, Lee Hendrie, Luke Moore and acadamy graduates like Ridgewell had to move on for first team football at a club further down the Prem or in the Championship because of the quality brought in to Villa which is pushing the team forward at the moment. If Craig Gardner was bullied by Bluenoses, he's not the first and won't be the last, more's the pity.
