Ashley Young & James Milner Could Grace Any Team

Ashley Young & James Milner Could Grace Any Team

Martin O'Neill has said that both James Milner and Ashley Young could fit into the very best teams around the world but he hopes that Villa will be able to hold on to them for another crack at the top four next season.

Several papers carry the report - following a press link yesterday for Milner to Manchester United. (See: Press Talk - James Milner To Manchester United? )

In The Mirror, MON says the grass isn't always greener at other clubs and that if they did go elsewhere, they might not play as much as they'd like: 'I`d prefer to see them stay here and see if we can finally break it. They have served the club brilliantly and I think the club has served them brilliantly too. They`ve had a chance here to play week-in, week-out in a side to get their confidence going, to get their ability going and I think that both of them would grace any side. But they might be in a more rotational business and sometimes that would be a consideration. Most players would want to play every single week.'

Milner Flying

From The Telegraph: 'I wouldn`t be surprised if James and Ashley have attracted the attention of the best football clubs in the land, and possibly one or two in Europe.'

He also says that Milner has been a 'revelation' this season and that he believes Ash has been better than ever this campaign.

Milner to Man Utd to replace the soon to retire Paul Scholes is my fear, seems the perfect one to step into his shoes. Fingers crossed we can convince him to stay.
