Villa's Battle For 4th - Update 7

Villa's Battle For 4th - Update 7

Down but not quite out…

The last update from Thorpyuk: Villa's Battle For 4th - Update 6

Despite a late goal snatching back a point for the good guys, solid progress by both spurs and city leave us somewhat dependant on them slipping up for us to have much hope left of snatching 4th. We do however still have a good run-in, and I did have us down for a draw against an Everton side very much in the ascendancy!

So then, after the latest round of results, how'd we look?

4th - Man City - 68pts
5th - Spurs - 67pts
6th - Villa - 66pts
7th - Liverpool - 64pts
8th - Everton - 61pts

The remaining fixtures I have us down to draw at home against Blues and away at Manchester City, and then beat Hull, Blackburn and Portsmouth.

If we do beat the scum in a couple of weeks time, things may well look up, but ultimately, our fate may just be in the hands of City, Spurs and, to a lesser degree, Liverpool.

Also nice to see Martin O'Neill gamble by sending on Delfouneso instead of Heskey, fair play to the man!

Are Chelsea one of the biggest clubs in the world though? Richest yes pauled177 but in all truth Leeds Utd are a bigger club than Chelsea let alone Villa

HFYiddo, i really dont get your point. This post is about premier league placings, chelsea will finish in the top 3 every year and be in the champions league, think that pretty much makes them a big club and one we are trying to, but wont, compete with.
