Villa v Chelsea FA Cup Semi Predictions & Prayers!

We're the famous Aston Villa
And we're going to Wemberlee!

Lawro says Chelsea will win the FA Cup semi final tomorrow (stupid kick off time of 5pm) but not by the 7-1 margin they won the last encounter with the Villa boys!

This time the BBC pundit says 2-1 to Chelsea.

FA CUP SEMI-FINAL

'For a start, I don't think the fact that Chelsea thrashed Villa 7-1 the other week will have any impact at all on this match. It is a completely different day and an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley is always a one-off, any-side-can-win-it situation. In semi-finals even the most experienced of players can get jittery and succumb to nerves, and you can never quite predict who will cope with the occasion best. I do fancy Chelsea, but it will be a tight match.'

He added, 'It will be interesting to see how Villa play tactically. I guess they will allow Chelsea plenty of room, sit back, and look to hit them on the break - that is probably when you see the best of Villa.'

Mystic Mug says he'll never bet against our boys at Wembley and says 1-0 in the 5th minute of injury time in off the backside of Emile Heskey!

I'll be on Five Live tomorrow at around 8:15am v a Chelsea fan!

MON preview: www.avfc.co.uk where the Villa boss says 'The players are looking forward to the game and have been for some time. They want to get back there again for the third time this season. And, of course, Chelsea stand in the way.' Adding 'The game against Chelsea won't be easy but the players are ready - they are ready to go. They certainly got some lost confidence back from winning against Bolton - and not conceding a goal obviously helped as well too. We know how difficult the task is ahead of us but we're ready for it.'

By Paul Brown: FA Cup delight is something that has eluded Martin O'Neill in his long and illustrious career but the boss is not interested in personal glory - insisting he would be more thrilled for the players and the fans if Villa could reach the showpiece with a win over Chelsea. article: www.avfc.co.uk
