Villa's Battle For 4th Place - Update 2

Villa's Battle For 4th Place - Update 2

The next update from Thorpyuk on our quest for the top four. Last one: Villa's Battle For 4th Place - Update Part 1

Top 4 Rolling

Statsmaster update:

So far, so good!

Just thought I'd drop a little update in on our progress towards finishing in that much-maligned 4th spot.

In the last week or two since the last update, Liverpool have lost ground and City staggered against Sunderland.

Spurs have lifted themselves up with a good win against Blackburn and Villa have taken 4 points off two tricky away ties.

So then, with the predictor correctly predicting that 4 point haul, this leaves us now with the final positioning looking something like this:

4th - Villa - 68pts
5th - Spurs - 65pts
6th - City - 65pts
7th - Pool - 64pts

Oh how close this race has become!

Next game - Wolves at home.. Statsmaster says WIN!

Yep and Spud's, Citeh's and Poo's predictor also shows them in 4th! You can't predict your own and rivals scores with any sense of objectivity - I try this every world cup and rather than win the trophy we always seem to be on the plane home early - how does this happen?!

Thanks d8ost.... this is what i have for next weekend. Villa to beat wolves at home, Suprs to draw away at Stoke, Liverpool to lose away to United, and Man City to draw away at fulham... should be an interesting weekend! Crimsondonkey - agreed, i've tried to be objective and fair as i can, but there's no doubt a little villa-tintedness in there!
