GM Villan: The Heskey Debate.. I’ve watched with great interest the debate that has existed over the pros and cons of Emile Heskey as an Aston Villa player since we signed him last year. I’ve never weighed in with my opinion to be honest, basically because I’ve not had the opportunity to see the lad play live. Watching a player/team on telly is never going to give an accurate insight or perspective… Full article: The Heskey Debate

As you will know by now but just for completeness... The FA Cup semi draw has been made and Villa face Chelsea. That leaves Spurs/Fulham to play Portsmouth. Could have been kinder I guess but to be the best you have to beat the best. The ties will be played on Saturday 10 and 11 April.

Thought for the day: Someone told me to think of a joke about rebellion........So I didn't.

they'll get picked up somehow mate, spend many an April in Tenerife and I always get to see the important Chelsea fixtures live on some Spanish sports station, usually with English commentary. Many of the bars show Coronation Street, on ITV, so you'll not have any problems, trust me, I'm a Chelsea fan!

I was in Puerto Del Carmen in LanzaGrotty, in april '08 and watched the 5-1 demolition of the blues !! in a bar with my son (and 4 blues fans, who were good sports and a real good laugh, tbh!). Think it was called "The Galleon" ?? A great bar on the main strip just off the beach, really friendly and ice cold beer. what more could you ask for ? Happy Days !! But i seem to recall that pretty much all of the pubs/bars were showing the big english games.
