Reputation Precedes Milner

Fabian Delph has said he felt like he already knew James Milner before his move to the Villa owing to the stories of the Leeds backroom staff.

Speaking on the Official Site on this bright and early morning, Delph said the Leeds coaches used the midfielder as an example for the young players to look upto given Milly's work ethic and behaviour, both on and off the pitch.

'I was made to feel right at home from the start, and having James around has been a big help. I only met him when I came here but I knew all about him from what he has achieved. He's a big name among the Leeds coaching staff.'

For himself, Delph is looking forward to next season and really making an impact in the first team since his big money move, and he's extremely grateful to the whole squad for making him feel welcome and helping him adjust to a new club, especially with that price tag hanging around his neck.

The praise is also mutually, as one Yorkshire man (Milly) said about another:

'He is a great player with a big future ahead of him. We've a great squad and Fabian adds to that.'
