'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Delfouneso Makes The Step Up To U21's

Nathan Delfouneso has been called up to Stuart Pearce's U21 side for the clash against Greece.

Speaking on the Official Site Delboy admitted that he found out via his 'mum' but is obviously more than pleased to have been selected, and he's hoping a good performance could put him closer to our first team.

'It popped up on Sky Sports News. My mum told me.'

Delboy adds that as soon as he heard he went and checked it out online first, before getting all the details the next day at training.

'It's a good feeling coming through the ranks because I've played U16, U17 and U19, so it's all about progressing.'

It's not just Delboy who has reason to celebrate either, Delph will also be in the squad alongside him so it'll be good to see how they both get on, and the additional experience certainly won't harm them when it comes to our first team.

Great stuff for the young Villians, really optimistic about Delboy and obviously Delph, think he'll turn out to be a great buy who'll be with the club for many many years, which is what I like to see :-D

Apart from Sunday's blip, the goodness keeps flowing in Aston
