Collins Happy With Start

James Collins is more than happy with the start to his Villa career, and I doubt today will change that.

Speaking on the Official Site prior to todays referee and tactically induced loss to Man U in the Carling Cup Final, James Collins was adamant he was more than happy with the start to his Villa career and he couldn't have wished for it to have gone any better.

Collins commented a Cup Final medal this quick would've been brilliant, but sadly it wasn't to be. However that shouldn't change what has been achieved so far, and what Collins has helped achieve so far (this may be the only positive article I am capable of today folks so make the most of it!).

'You can tell around the place how excited everyone is so it is great for us. I knew it was a big club before I came. I jumped at the chance to come to Villa.'

We may not have glowed today, but we have come a long way in a short period of time and hopefully todays disappointment will both see a clear out of the idiocy that goes on, and also those 'favoured' players who frankly offer nothing yet get played permanently because their faces fit.....I'm not on about Heskey here either.

'From a personal point of view I couldn't wish for a better start at a new club.'

James has come in and done very well indeed. In our backline Dunne usually takes the plaudits but Collins' form cannot be ignored, and again today, like all he had his moments, but overall he was never shy about putting his body into harms way when it counted.

We now need to compliment a great defence and a better midfield with a forward line that actually moves in the final third of the pitch.

If I see one more striker stand still whilst Milner looks for a pass I think I will shoot somebody.
