Carling Cup Final Countdown!
It has been 9 years, 9 months and 8 days since Aston Villa`s capitulation against a Chelsea side that even included Ed de Goey and George Weah. That was the last cup final, today is our time!
Like or loathe Martin O`Neill, he has developed the squad and whilst it`s not perfect, we are in a cup final with another one to come. It is Aston Villa Vs Manchester United and memories of 1994 spring to mind. Dalian Atkinson`s shin, the Dean Saunders flick, the Kanchelskis handball and subsequent penalty.
We are Aston Villa, we are somewhat forgotten recently, but whether you like MON or loathe, whether you think Gabby is a one trick pony, whether you think Heskey is useless, or if you think he`s the hero. Whether you are at Wembley or not, we are Aston Villa united together, and back in a cup final. Up the Villa!
