FA Cup Quarter Finals

Having successfully side stepped Palace we now face Reading in the 6th round.

As we know, we did Palace 3-1, Stoke amazingly did City 3-1 although they needed extra time, Spurs thumped Bolton 4-0 and Reading limped through needing an extra time goal to take the Baggies 3-2.

Palace wasn't comfortable, but you'd hedge your bets on us to book a semi final place wouldn't you...as long as we turn up.

Full Confirmed Draw

Chelsea v Stoke City - March 7

Fulham v Spurs - March 6

Reading v Aston Villa - March 7

Portsmouth v Blues - March 6

we shud have had it wrapped up in the 1st half, but our inconsistentsy in finishing prevails once again (although Speroni made a couple of good saves). By the way whats happened to Colin Davies' wembley song, cant find it anywhere no more

I wouldn't be against the idea of a Blues FA Cup final Longman, what a day that would be :-D

Should have been a lot more comfortable, so many wasted chances, would have stilll liked to have seen Da Fonz, but maybe just me ~ certainly not complaining, cup final Sunday, an amazing opportunity of a Wembly FA Cup Semi as well and right in the hunt for 4th, come on Villa :-D

Here we are, almost into March, still firing on three fronts, and on the verge of experiencing and enjoying our most memorable seasons in years. Sundays League Cup Final just ahead of us, a quarter-final F.A. Cup trip to Reading next weekend, and for those amongst us who believe that a top four finish is the be all and end all, we're still well in the hunt for that too. All in all, enough going on at Brum B6 right now, to keep even the most pessimistic of Villans more than content. What more could we ask for?

Right GL, I feel like I will wake up if I pinch myself and find out it was only a dream! But it isnt! Its frightening, just hope we win on Saturday, still think that is more important than anything else at this stage. I can't imagine that Sir Alex is looking forward to the game at all! Other than Chelski, I would think we are his worst nightmare! I really have the feeling we WILL WIN on Saturday, and will get all the way to a Wembley FA Cup final if we don't meet Chelski in the semi's. And on the back of this success, be buoyed to make that (according to some people) all important 4th place finish! UTV!

No, I'll take a pint thankyou davidsands1982, in fact, while you're at it, order me a couple. Never too early in the day to enjoy a nice cold 'un, kicking back in the recliner, dreaming about walking up Wembley Way.

would hate villa blues final, would be awful, the worry of a final is bad enough without it beign a local derby ++ imagine the trouble down in London? No thanks, not for me. Villa v Chelsea with the outcome different to the 2000 no show would be good! lol

If Portsmouth go into administration does that mean the Blues get a pass into the semi-finals?

I could well be wrong, but I believe going into administration is done so that the company can continue trading while a buyer (or other solution) is found to its financial difficulties. That is as opposed to being wound up, which means that the company can no longer trade at all. I would think that 'continue trading' would have to include 'continue playing', or the club could no longer make money with which to continue.
