'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Long Term Injury Update

Nigel Reo-Coker and Marlon Harewood are both ahead of their respective schedules, and it may be possible that they will be at least fit for the bench before the end of the season.

Hokey Coket is out with an ankle problem, whilst the Hare has a broken metatarsal. Speaking on the Official Site today O'Neill explained that in the case of Coker it's an old injury from his Wet Spam days, but he's pleased it has been discovered now so it can be addressed properly.

Both were expected to be out for over 3 months ruling them out of playing again this season, but for now with the progress being made, O'Neill is refusing to be drawn on a date for return although it is expected to be in advance of that previously thought.

'Both are making really good progress. They are ahead of schedule.

'It is still going to be a fairly lengthy time but Nigel is more upbeat than before - the operation on the ankle has been successful.'
