Fergie's On A Roll It's Milly Time

Fergie's On A Roll It's Milly Time

Alex Ferguson can't stop gushing praise over Villa lately, well if that's what you call it considering I didn't earlier.

But on this one, I can't find fault and the great thing is Milly is grounded enough to not get carried away so any mind games won't work at any rate ha ha!

SirAlex of Chewalot is now quoted on the Official Site pouring out his love for our Millyman saying what a great asset he is to the Villa owing to his ability to perform in any number of positions across midfield.

Come on Alex, don't forget right back!!!!

Fergie says he has been thoroughly impressed with the lads form this season and the affect he has had on the team since moving into the middle - which if you want to read it another way means tonight Milly can expect to be kicked a few times and be paid close attention to by his counterpart tonight.

'Milner's switch to the centre has galvanised the centre of midfield. I think he has done really well there - he's been a revelation.'

Red Nose also adds that he thought Milly was the 'star man' against United earlier in the season when we beat them for the first time in 26 years.

Now there's no way this will go to Milly's head, he's far too experienced and grounded for a lad of his age - but then again he's been around almost as long as Friedel I think - if anything he'll know he's a marked man tonight and do his best to raise his game further.

That's the kind of attitude you can't buy or train, I just hope everyone else turns up and we might pull off a bit of a shocker.

I think we should be afraid. Milner is exactly the player they need and probably will be one of their targets in the summer. I think he's Fergies kind of player and i'm quite worried we wont be sucessful enough to keep him in the coming seasons.

We certainly won't be successful enough if we sell our best players! We are not run by HDE any more, we have a very ambitious Chairman and Manager, too. Why on earth would we sell our best players? We want to be the best! If they want Milner, then we want Rooney. Or Fletcher and Carrick combined. If a player becomes unsettled - a la Barry - rival clubs now know that Villa will put on a price that will make them think twice. The days of cherry-picking our talent have gone - if they haven't then I'm pretty sure MON will be off. It's time us Villa fans stopped feeling inferior to other clubs - we are not the unambitious outfit of Ellis any more!! If we are going to be number one again then we have got to believe in the Club.

It will be more of a case of Rooney being a marked man tonight with Milner dropping off onto him.

donegalvillan; yeah right! The way we sent Liverpoo packing when they wanted GB should give the message that we will hold onto our talent at ANY cost.

Have you ever known Manchester United not to put up the cash, sure we'll get stupid money for him but if they want him they'll get him simple as. I know what you're talking about, and it's just lovely we wont put up with bullying anymore, but if Man U offer 30m+ after a good world cup for the boy he'll be offski
