Warnock To Miss Cup Final?

Martin O'Neill has confirmed that there are doubts over Stephen Warnock recovering in time for the Carling Cup Final against Manchester United.

Speaking to the Daily Mail confirmed that doubts existed over whether Warnock would recover in time and said it would be 'devasting'for both the club and player if that turned out to be the case.

Warnock saw a specialist recently over the niggling shin problem he had developed and has been advised to rest up for two weeks, this leaves only one week for a fuller assessment and proper training before the Final on Feb 28.

'It is worrying for Stephen and he has done so much to get us to the Cup Final. It would be devasting if he missed that.'

Don't like the sound of shin problems, look at Hargreaves or Nadal, don't seem to be getting over these problems ever

Would be gutted for him. It was his goal that got us back on track against Blackburn and he's been stunning for us all season.

Would be a blow for the lad, but would the Shorey loan be more to do with Freddy's return, with Luke an option on either side. What I mean is, there are options, and what would be the odds on a fairy tale final appearance by the Flying Dutchman?
